Get ready for a night of laughter, clever wit and sharp humour as Palm Beach Currumbin State High presents Reds Go Riot: Stand Up Comedy Night. This exciting event will showcase PBC’s rising comedians alongside two of Australia’s finest comedy talents — legendary host Mandy Nolan and special guest headliner Dave Eastgate.

Hosted by comedian, author and social commentator Mandy Nolan, the night   promises to be packed with quick thinking, hilarious storytelling and sharp insights. Known for her fearless comedy and ability to connect with any audience, Nolan has built a national reputation as one of Australia’s most authentic comedic voices. From supporting icons like Whoopi Goldberg and Eartha Kitt, to her acclaimed shows Women Like Us and The Country Witches Association, Nolan has spent decades using humour to challenge, entertain and inspire. Her work spans comedy, writing, activism and education — and her performances are always thought-provoking, unpredictable and wildly funny.

Joining Nolan on stage is acclaimed comedian, actor and musician Dave Eastgate, whose high-energy performances and quickfire humour have earned him international recognition. Eastgate is known for his roles in Ronnie Chieng: International Student, Doctor Doctor, Open Slather, Here Come The Habibs, and A Moody Christmas. He has performed worldwide, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the UK’s Download Festival and on stage alongside Robin Williams — a moment he describes as a career highlight.

After several weeks of workshops, PBC’s rising comedians are ready to take to the stage and showcase what they’ve learned. From developing their comedic timing to crafting punchlines that land, these students can’t wait to perform for a live audience alongside Mandy and Dave. It’s a brilliant opportunity to see fresh local talent step into the spotlight.

All proceeds from Reds Go Riot will go towards PBC’s school charity, supporting valuable programs within the community. Guests can also enjoy delicious food on the night from Get Loaded GC, serving up their crowd-favourite bites.

This event is proudly sponsored by Community Bank Tugun, whose support has helped make the evening possible.
