Assessment
We have a policy that applies to all students and staff at Palm Beach Currumbin State High and is intended to provide clear and consistent guidelines about assessment. It aims to ensure the application of policies and procedures that are fair and equitable to all students from Year 7 to 12.
You may download the entire policy from the Related Documents section on the right. Additionally, you will find an Application for Extension Form if a student needs to ask for an extension.
All assessment dates are distributed to students and published on the school calendar and website by week three of each semester. Students are expected to record draft and due dates in their student planner.
Assessment Calendars
It is the student's responsibility to ensure all assessment tasks are submitted by the due date.
Students are prepared in class for all testing and assessment. Regular feedback is provided by the classroom teacher to assist students with understanding their results and how they can improve.
Our school wide assessment calendars for Junior and Senior Secondary help students manage their school workload, and allow parents to be aware of their student's due dates.
Please note - Assessment dates are a guide only and may be changed at the teacher's discretion. Where there is more than one class of a subject, assessment may be scheduled at different days of that assessment week.
