Festival of the Arts celebrates student creativity
The arts will take centre stage at Palm Beach Currumbin State High School across Weeks 7–9, with a series of showcase events celebrating the creativity, talent and dedication of our students.
The 2026 Festival of the Arts will bring together performances and creative works from across our Drama, Music, Visual Art and Film Excellence Programs, providing students with the opportunity to share the skills they have developed throughout the year with their families, friends and the wider school community.
The Festival will open with the Junior Music Excellence Showcase on Wednesday 26 August, featuring talented Year 7 to Year 9 musicians. Students will take to the stage to showcase their musical development, passion and commitment through an evening of performances.
The following evening, our Senior Music Excellence students will present their showcase on Thursday 27 August. Featuring Year 10 to Year 12 musicians, the program will include ensembles, contemporary performances and outstanding soloists, highlighting the skill and artistry of our senior musicians.
The celebrations continue into Week 8 with the 2026 Drama Excellence Showcase on Thursday 3 September. Students from across the Drama Excellence Program will present an evening of dramatic performances, showcasing their confidence, storytelling, stagecraft and creative expression.
The Festival will conclude in Week 9 with the Visual Art and Film Showcase on Thursday 10 September. This event will celebrate the imagination and technical skill of our Visual Art and Film Excellence students, featuring a diverse collection of visual artworks and films that reflect their individual perspectives and creative development.
Together, these events showcase the breadth of creative opportunities available to students at PBC and the incredible talent that continues to emerge across our Excellence Programs.
From musicians and performers to visual artists and filmmakers, the Festival of the Arts is an opportunity for our students to step into the spotlight, share their work and celebrate the creativity that makes our school community so vibrant.
