Explore the Future of Technology: 2026 Queensland Quantum Challenge
Students in Years 9–11 have an exciting opportunity to explore one of the fastest-growing areas of science and technology through the 2026 Queensland Quantum Challenge.
The challenge invites students to learn about quantum technologies and develop innovative ideas that could help solve real-world problems facing Queensland. It is a chance to think creatively, work on cutting-edge concepts, and gain insight into technologies that are expected to shape the future.
Participants will research how quantum technology could be applied in areas such as healthcare, transport, environmental management and cybersecurity, before proposing their own solution or idea. The challenge is designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking and innovation while giving students a glimpse into the possibilities of tomorrow’s technology.
Winners will be recognised at a special awards ceremony in Brisbane and will share in $25,000 worth of prizes.
Students interested in being part of this unique opportunity should submit their entry before 1 May 2026.
