We have once again cemented our place as a powerhouse in school surfing, taking home the Overall School Winner trophy at the 2025 Australian Interschools Surfing Championships presented by Breaka — for the second consecutive year.

Held over two days in pristine conditions at Kirra Beach, this prestigious national event brought together more than 100 teams from across the country. It showcased secondary school talent in a dynamic tag-team format inspired by the iconic Australian Boardriders Battle. PBC students rose to the challenge, displaying outstanding individual and team performances, school pride, and a strong competitive spirit.

Team Results:

  • Senior Men’s Division (Years 10–12):
PBC finished in a strong 2nd place, narrowly missing the top spot in a closely contested final.

  • Senior Women’s Division (Years 10–12):
Our female surfers also secured 2nd place, demonstrating smart strategy and teamwork throughout the event.

  • Junior Girls Division (Years 7–9):
PBC claimed 1st place, dominating the division with a standout team performance that highlighted the depth of young talent at the school.

Individual Achievement:
A special congratulations goes to Jimmi Hill, who was awarded the Thermos Wave of the Event for his spectacular 9.17-point barrel ride — a moment that captured the attention of the entire beach.

This impressive result across multiple divisions reinforces PBC's continued commitment to excellence in both sport and surf culture. We are incredibly proud of our students, coaches, and support staff for their dedication, sportsmanship, and passion. Their achievements not only represent PBC at the highest level but also serve as an inspiration to our broader school community.

Congratulations to all involved on an exceptional result.Surfing.jpeg
