Year 7 and 9 Writing
This year's data indicated the cohorts had identical target areas.
Strength areas- Text Structure, Spelling, Character Development
Areas to improve – Paragraphing, Sentence Structure and Punctuation.
The school is investing heavily in both effort and funding on a whole school approach to writing which is being trialled in Year 7 and 8 called Writer's Tool Box. The program which includes both teacher professional development in explicitly teaching how to write and access for students to an engaging online platform where students can practise writing and get instant feedback on their work.
