Stationery Require​​ments for 2022

See below for the recommended stationery requirements for your student in 2022. All year levels are represented in the below list. All items can be purchased from any stationery shop or large retailer:

Student Start Dates for 2022:

​Last week, the Queensland Government announced a delay to the start of the school year from the planned 24 January 2022.

Confirmed start dates are:

  • 24 January - Children of Essential Workers can attend school and be supervised on site
  • 31 January - Year 11 and 12 students commence online learning from home
  • 07 February - Years 7, 10, 11 and 12 back to school and commence on-site learning
  • 08 February - Years 8 and 9 back to school and commence on-site learning

Children of essential workers will be supervised on-site - formal teaching will not commence.  Only children of essential workers or vulnerable children will be able to attend school during this extended vacation period.

Parents who require school supervision of their child will need to contact Sally Bullpitt on sbull43@eq.edu.au to register their attendance by 9am Thursday 20 January.  Students are to meet in the Senior Quad at 9am.

Formal academic learning for Years 7-10 will not commence until Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 February. There will be no school-facilitated online learning, however parents/students can access the Department of Education 'Learning from Home' materials if desired.

Students in Years 11 and 12 will commence online learning as per their regular timetabled classes via Teams from Monday 31 January.  Teachers have emailed home further details about online learning.  All Year 11 and 12 students have been sent their 2022 timetable via email.

Other school operations in summary:

  • Uniform Shop trading hours will not change. For opening hours visit our Uniform Shop​ page
  • New Students to the school in Years 11 and 12 will be contacted by a member of the Senior Secondary leadership team prior to the commencement of online learning.


Instructions for Day 1​​​

  • All Year 7 students are to report to the Hall on arrival on Day 1. ​

  • Returning students in Years 8, 9, 10 go to their CARE class at the 9:00am bell.

  • ​All NEW PBC students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are to go to the Trade Training Centre on arrival, Monday 7 February for their induction and to collect their timetables.

  • ​All NEW PBC students in Years 8 and 9 are to go to the Trade Training Centre on arrival, Tuesday 8 February for their induction and to collect their timetables


2022 Bell T​​imes

Commencing in 2022, Monday school day will finish at 1:25pm. All other days, finish time will be 3:05pm. Start time is 9:00am Monday to Friday.

The school will be able to assist parents who require supervision for their child. Students whose parents have elected for them to remain at school will be supervised whilst they work independently on their school work in the Library Precinct. We also anticipate offering internal and external tuition throughout the year, with more details to be provided early 2022.

The designated School Bus runs will remain unchanged. Some students may be able to access Surfside buses at an earlier time.

If your student is to remain at school on Monday afternoons after 1:25pm, please email Sally Bullpitt on sbull43@eq.edu.au by 21 January.
