We understand that whilst students are in Australia they will want to take every opportunity to travel and visit some of our beautiful country. International students need to be aware that there are certain guidelines and restrictions to travelling within Australia. This is due to the welfare arrangement in place for students. Please refer to the International Student Travel Policy to familiarise yourself with the travel conditions prior to arriving in Australia.
As part of your program at PBC we will arrange some local excursions to Byron Bay, Brisbane and other local attractions such as Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. There you will be able to feed Kangaroos, get a photo with a Koala, feed some Rainbow Lorikeets and see many other native animals.
Cook Island
Cook Island is located just off the coast at Tweed Heads and is a haven for marine and bird life. It is a 20 minute boat trip to reach this location departing from the Tweed Jetty. International students will have the opportunity to participate in a day trip to snorkel the pristine water and swim with turtles and other marine life. The cost will be approx. $85.00 and will be run by Tweed Sea Sport who will provide the snorkelling equipment.
