We understand that whilst students are in Australia they will want to take every opportunity to travel and visit some of our beautiful country. International students need to be aware that there are certain guidelines and restrictions to travelling within Australia. This is due to the welfare arrangement in place for students. Please refer to the International Student Travel Policy to familiarise yourself with the travel conditions prior to arriving in Australia.

As part of your program at PBC we will arrange some local excursions to Byron Bay, Brisbane and some other local attractions such as Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. There you will be able to feed Kangaroos, get a photo with a Koala, feed some Rainbow Lorikeets and see many other native animals.

Cook Island

Students will also have the opportunity to do a Cook Island snorkelling day trip specifically organised for international students. On this trip you will be able to see turtles up close and swim with them.

Fraser Island / Noosa - QLD

In Term 2 and 3  we will be offering a 3 day trip to visit beautiful Fraser Island. We will travel by bus and then catch a ferry to Fraser Island. You will stay overnight at Eurong Resort where you will enjoy full buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will explore the island by 4WD and visit Eli Creek, Maheno Wrecks, Champaign Pools, Indian Head and swim at Lake Mackenzie. Departing Fraser Island we will return to the Sunshine coast and stop at Mooloolaba for more sightseeing and some relaxing before returning to the Gold Coast. The trip will cost approx. $645.00

Tangalooma Island Resort - Moreton Island, QLD

Twice a year we organise a three day trip to Moreton Island. This trip costs approximately $645.00. Students have the opportunity to go snorkelling around the shipwreck off the beach, hand-feed the local dolphins and observe the native wildlife up close and personal, go sand tobogganing on pristine white sand hills and swim in the crystal blue waters. Students can also explore the beautiful bushland on the island and take in the breathtaking views from vantage points.

For more information about Tangalooma Island Resort please visit: www.tangalooma.com.

In addition, students will attend excursions and activities which are associated with their subjects. For example, Marine and Aquatic Practices arrange a Cook Island trip and sailing trip, Biology students go on a camp to Stradbroke Island, Creative Arts attend dance and musical performances and much more.
Students will also have the opportunity to visit Byron Bay, Brisbane and do a Cook Island snorkelling day trip specifically organised for international students.
