School Council Election 2017

Nominations
The nominations closed on 28 March at 4:00pm.  The following nominations have been received:  

Parent Nominations

Non-Teaching Staff Nominations

2. Kirsten Hague

One parent representative and one staff (non-teaching) representative is required for the School Council.  At the closing date, two non-teaching staff and four parent nominations were received.  

A ballot is now required to elect representatives to the School Council with details as follows:

A ballot is now required to elect non-teaching representative to the School Council with details as follows:

Election date: Friday 12 May 2017
Venue: Trade Training Centre, Palm Beach Currumbin State High
Time: 3:00pm to 4:00pm

A bio of candidates has been added to PBC’s website:  Our Community/School Council tab. 

To be eligible for election as an elected staff member, a person must:
  • not be an official member; 
  • not have been convicted of an indictable offence, unless the Minister gives approval under the Act; 
  • be a member of staff of the school who attends a meeting called for the purpose of electing staff members; 
  • submit a completed nomination on time. 
A person is eligible to vote for an elected staff member if that person is eligible to be elected as an elected staff member.  

Balloting - Voting for Parent Nominees
A ballot is now required to elect a parent representative to the School Council with details as follows:

Election date: Friday 12 May 2017
Venue: Trade Training Centre, Palm Beach Currumbin State High
Time: 7:30am to 8:30am

To be eligible for election as an elected parent member, a person must:

  • not be an official Member;
  • not have been convicted of an indictable offence, unless the Minister gives approval under the Act;
  • attend a meeting called for the purpose of electing parent members;
  • be the parent of a student attending the school
  • submit a completed nomination on time. 
A person is eligible to vote for an elected parent member if that person is eligible to be elected as an elected parent member.
